FAQs
What is non-medical home health care?
Common signs include a neglected home environment, weight loss due to poor nutrition, missed medication doses, decreased personal hygiene, or increased loneliness and isolation.
Are your services available 24/7?
Yes. We offer flexible scheduling ranging from a few hours a week to 24-hour live-in care, including weekends and holidays.
Are your caregivers licensed, insured and bonded?
Yes. For your protection and peace of mind, all our employees are licensed, fully insured and bonded.
How do you select your caregivers?
We conduct rigorous background checks, reference verifications, and in-person interviews. We look for caregivers who not only have the right skills but also demonstrate genuine compassion and a heart for service.
What is Patient Sitting?
Yes. We begin with a free in-home consultation to assess your specific needs and preferences. We then develop a customized care plan that is regularly reviewed and updated.
Do you create a personalized care plan?
Our hospital patient sitter services provide compassionate, non-medical support for loved ones during surgery or illness. Caregivers assist with personal care, offer advocacy, and keep families informed—while fully respecting and working alongside hospital staff.
How do I know if my loved one needs home care?
Non-medical care (often called "Personal Care" or "Companion Care") focuses on helping seniors or individuals with disabilities with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs). This includes meal preparation, light housekeeping, errands, and personal hygiene, rather than clinical tasks like wound care or injections.
What happens if I don’t like the caregiver assigned to me?
Your comfort is our priority. If for any reason you feel a caregiver isn't the right fit, simply let us know and we will find a replacement who better suits your personality and needs.
Does Medicare pay for non-medical home care?
Generally, Medicare does not cover long-term non-medical care. However, many clients use Long-Term Care Insurance, Veterans' benefits (VA Aid and Attendance), or private pay.
How quickly can care begin?
In most cases, we can begin services within 24 to 48 hours following the initial in-home assessment.
